I've just gotten a new job at a local pizza joint called Pantera's. It's a pretty nice place. First day of work was August 10, and I'm liking the job.

Big Fish Caught: Al Qaeda Communication Officer.

The most important thing in order to knock out the enemy's ability to resist attack and to carry out offensive operations (in this case, terrorism and acts of terror) is to hamper, if not tap into and/or destroy their network of communication.

What you have heard on the networks is that we caught a 'senior Al-Qaeda Official.' What you don't know is WHO he is: Nareem Noor Kahn.

The Story is at Captain Ed's Place: Captain's Quarters. From what I've read (and I've read the whole thing) is that we have captured someone responsible for building lines of communications between Al-Qaeda's operatives and their commanders. We may also have hurt their financial structure as well.

What bugs me is that this is a key capture, and a key figure in the Al-Qaeda ranks..... and no one is hearing about it from the news networks. This is tantamount to capturing the Enigma Machine in World War II for Christ's sake.

Yet another famous guy (who I personally like) to appreciate: Ben Stein.

I heard him on the Tony Snow Show just coming home tonight, and quite frankly, he was able to point out something I've never noticed......

There are largely two types of people in this country. Those who are, for the most part, at peace with their lives, and regularly happy, even in not-so-perfect circumstances. They surprisingly are for the most part Republicans.

Then there are those with an inner rage within. Those who see a problem with the world, and rage at themselves and others to fix it. They surprisingly are for the most part Democrats.

It hit me at first. I thought it was something new, but I should have realized it many years ago. If Bush lost the election in 2000, he would go back to his Crawford ranch, a little off, may be somewhat depressed, but turn around, hold a barbecue with his friends and go back to his life. He would be happy.

Gore lost, and went mental. Go figure.

It's under the Tony Snow Show website as "Dems are Just Angry People", and you know what? He's right.

Now as to why he's a patriot--he is mystified at how people could hate this country. He calls this country the true land of promise, and this form of government 'God's Best Gift to Mankind.' He loves this country and for the most part, supports Bush.

I've always liked Ben Stein. Now I have another reason to like him.

If only I could win some of Ben Stein's Money.

That's right folks! We're going on a diet craze!

(well, not really. Here's the details)

I went to an 'alternative' doctor, Doctor John Dinkelman, who's a specialist in Accupuncture, Chiropractice, and Iridology.

Basically, he looks into my eyes, but with good reason. The optic nerve has a connection to every part of the brain, and everything that happens in the body leave a mark on the brain. The eye thus becomes a window to the body.

With this, he took a look into my eyes, and sent a hair sample to see what's going on in my cellular makeup. Ten days later (ending today), we get our results back.

My whole life I've lived eating a high fiber, high carb, low fat diet. I'm now overweight, and my hair fell out in March (parts of it, not all of it--Most of it's still there).

Now he's reccomended the following for Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs.

Yeah. It's confirmed. I'm trying this low carb diet and seeing if it really does help. If it does, I'll have to tell you all. I'm getting some supplements to also help with some nutrients and minerals I have very little of, as well as detoxifying myself of an aluminum presence (which is, by the way, what's probably causing my problems with the mineral deficiency).

I wouldn't reccomend crashing on the Atkins diet just yet, because I'm not sure if it will work.

One things for sure though, PeTA can't be trusted.

My Computer, after it was stolen and returned to me, has finally gotten back up to %100. Good thing too, because I've been going through advanced bouts of Halo Withdrawal. Granted, I'm using my sister's monitor (which is a ton better than the fuzzball I've had to use lately), but I'm also using my sister's mouse, which has no mousewheel. I remember when mice with wheels just came out and asking myself what I would use it for. I find it quite ironic that now the absence of one drives me nuts.

Now Halo Runs on Better-Than-Xbox settings. Not to dis the Xbox, but I like my computer best. It's a great platform though, don't get me wrong. If I get the job at target, I'm saving toward it (unless the Fuzzball pisses me off first).

I've had a lot to catch up on. But lately, the guy who started the Bush Lied Meme: Joe Wilson has been unraveled. The Whole thing about Bush lying at the State of the Union adress about Iraq seeking uranium from Niger was false was FALSE! Iraq has been found to be seeking Uranium from an African country, and specifically Niger.

This was the start of a string of lies and falsehoods now becoming unraveled. I just hope it gets going faster, and get more attention.

If you've been reading Instapundit like I have been, you already know of this. Basically, Joe Wilson has been revealed as nothing but a lying sack of you-know-what and no more than a partisan hack.

But now to rant.

It's no surprise that all the really good movies have gotten rave reviews and plenty of money, which is nice for a change. There are two movies I have got to see, but I haven't gotten the cash to see them yet. First is Spiderman II. I'm probably one of the two people who haven't seen it yet, but everyone is telling me that it's much better than the first, and for a superhero movie, that's rare enough a gem, since most of those movies are no more than cheesy flicks. I also liked the first one very much too, so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Second is I Robot. I know, it's based off a book, and I might be dooming myself to mediocrity seeing it (since I've read the book) but from what I've heard, the director himself knew Asimov personally, and was a real fan of his work. Who better than to make the movie? Well, there might be a few types, but you don't get much better. My friend Walter has reccomended it.

I've gotten the job interview, and I'm sitting on pins and needles since. I haven't gotten the call back (it happened yesterday though, so I've got a few things to do and still some time to hear back). I've got to go back and remind them that I had a job interview with a thank you note, but I'm low on gas, and I'm broke. My sister and I had to pay for a lunch at Josephines, and it screwed us both over with the cost. I liked the food, but it's far too rich, and far too expensive for my tastes. I'll take a sandwich made of simple bread and Sever's Market Meat anyday, and I could have made a whole lot more than one sandwich on $6.00. Dunno if my sister agrees though. I sure hope I get the job. I'm on my last legs. My gas tank is near empty, and neither me or my sister has cash to fill it. Furthermore, this has been the best... and only lead that's led to anything more than turning in my application. If it were to fail here, I don't know how I could pick myself up after that. I sure hope it works out.

At least I'm losing weight, which is a good thing.

So the good news is that I'm losing weight, I got the job interview, and now my computer's fixed.

The bad news is that I'm waiting on a knife's edge for news on my interview results, which aren't guaranteed. I'm also studying for two tests next week in my economics classes.

Well, hope you do better than I am.

It could be worse.

Well, I 'borrowed' my sister's monitor for the week while she's at camp. Now she's returned, which means I have to use an old old old old old monitor that's so small and fuzzy I can barely read.

I really like new games, and I would really like to get one of THESE before November the 9th if I ever get a job.

But now it seems I'll have to get a new monitor instead. *sniff* It sucks being broke with busted monitor.

Having taken classes on the Holocaust, and having many Jewish friends, I am a staunch, outspoken supporter of Israel, and yes, even Zionism. Even though I am myself a Mormon, I support the state of Israel, and the idea of a Jewish state.

Anyone who spouts Anti-Semetism, or Harbors/supports anti-semitism is nothing short of an inhuman jerk, and should join the SS just to give me a reason to turn them in as a sick freak.

And I say this with all seriousness because Anti-Semitism is on the rise my friends, and to an alarming degree.

I finally have enough time to rant on my blog! Blogging has been dreadfully light, so I've got to rant to make up for this.

--> Yay and Congrats to Scaled Composites for their first trip up to touch the the high heavens. They reached the 100 km mark and did a good job to get to it.

I know it wasn't a smooth ride up exactly. They had problems going up by going 20 miles off course in like 2 seconds. They also had problems on the way down with navigation problems. Sure, it had glitches, and if something really went wrong, our test pilot wouldn't have lived to get his astronaut wings.

But there's a reason it was called a test flight. And furthermore, most test pilots are half crazy, but in a good way.

--> Nay to the way some *ahem* 'Journalists' covered this event as a 'stunt'. NPR especially. They wouldn't know the next big thing if it had hit them over the head with a sledgehammer. We all know them. The kind of people who say that it would never take off, that it would never work. They may be right this time, but look at how many times we've proved them wrong.

--> As a result of the beheading, South Korea is doing the exact opposite of what Spain did: send even more troops.

I'm very glad the South Koreans are very Resolute. My mother being a South Korean Native, and My dad having been stationed there and knowing some of the army guys there personally, those guys are tough suckers. Granted, I wouldn't know a word they said, but I would be more than happy to share a foxhole or a bunker with the ROK Troops.

Some might look at the way the protests went and say that South Korea has no business in Iraq with the lack of popular support. But as my dad would say: they're the young ones, and they haven't served in the military yet.

That tends to change when people go into the army, and in a good way. South Korea, like Israel and the IDF, also have compulsory service, although it only applies to the males (unlike Israel, which is an equal opportunity army). There is only one 'exception' and it isn't much of an exception: that's if you're medical personnel, and even then, you get to go as a corpsman or a field doctor.

And did I mention they're rough soldiers?

--> Nay to the back biting, back stabbing, no good, two tounged snakes that beheaded Kim il-Sun while they were bringing South Korea to the bargaining table. I've already ranted about this, but I'm still pissed as hell.

--> Nay as well to the Iranians who kidnapped those British soldiers. You can step on the toes of the IAEA and the UN all you want and get a slap on the wrist. You can only push the black watch so far.... and they are quite sensitive about these things.

To them "Leave no man behind" isn't just a motto, they're words to live by.

--> I sure hope Bush wins, so the Dhimmicrats, dummocrats, democrats, liberals, liberal media, and moore/soros/gore/kerry/clinton/hillary get their cummupence. I'm still trying to convince my friend Walter to donate to the Bush campaign though.

Those bastards cut the head off of Kim Sun-il. Even though the South Korean Government was into negotiations, even though the government wanted to do what they could to save his life.

It would have been one thing to simply behead him. It would have been another thing to let him go after negotiations and troop pullouts.

But to bring them to the table and behead him anyway is despicable. What we, the South Koreans, and the rest of the world, needs to learn is that we are dealing with what my mother would call 'two tongued snakes.' There's only one solution for dealing with these bastards and that's to kill them.

From now on, for every hostage they kill, we should take 10 out of Guantanamo and shoot them, and bury them with pigs no doubt.

Now my mother's blood is boiling, and probably will for the next week.

It sucks not having a job part II

It sucks being broke.

It sucks even more to be perfecly qualified to do stuff a lot of other people don't have a darn clue about and not even being considered for a job because you don't have 'experience.'

If they want someone who spent 10 years filing their nails and calling their girlfriends, boyfriends, and whatnot on company time then it's fine by me.

If they want someone who's qualified--someone who stuck it through 2 years of training, fixing computers, working with strange equipment and technology--they're going to half to consider at least talking to me first.

Is it too much to ask? Just talk to me, okay? Granted, I haven't been able to get an office job because I don't have experience.

It's been 1 year since I have gotten my CCNA certification. I've set up networks and fixed computers. I've solved problems no one even had a clue about.

The only problem was that it was volunteer work and I didn't get paid for it. It was work, but it wasn't a "Job".

I've seen many people with just as much if not more training than I do, yet they're working in fast food restaurants and supermarket chains because the entry level position they're applying for requires 2 years of experience.

The person who came up with that idea had a good idea in mind, but the person who applied that to entry level positions--places you're supposed to start out in--should be taken out and flogged.

On my end, meanwhile, it still sucks to be jobless and broke because people are stupid.

He's 90 Years old. My Dad's half that, and he looks younger than my dad.

The most famous line from Clinton was: "I did not have sex with that woman."

Bush has publicly stated that he would get to the bottom of the Abu Ghraib scandal.

Clinton got us into Bosnia and Kosovo. We're still cleaning up.

Bush has cleaned up most of Afganistan and is doing a great job in Iraq and will make sure the mess is cleaned before we leave, unlike the continuing mess in Kosovo.

Clinton Inherited the good economy. Bush repaired the good economy and has a greater rate of growth and less inflation than any of the Clinton years, and we're still making jobs.

Clinton stuck it with Lewinsky. Bush stuck with it.

That's all I'll say.

Paul Johnson might not have loved his country like the rest of us, but he was an American, and that was the only reason the terrorists needed to cut his head off like Nick Berg, or Pearle.

Frankly, This proves what kind of sick freaks we're dealing with here. We're dealing with people who will kill anyone who isn't muslim. They don't care if you marched in the anti war rallies, or if you're Canadian or French, or if you think America Sucks. They don't care. Unless you submit yourself to their twisted view, they will kill you. That makes me sick.

But it takes a man to be a father.

No matter what they tell you. No matter what anyone says about 'alternative lifestyles' or child raising options. Every kid should have a father. Every son needs to have a father, every daughter needs to have a father. The kind of father who will work for them, sweat for them, live with them, teach them about life, that sort of father. The father who'll put 8 hours a day in his job and 24 hours a day for his kids.

Why do I say this?

Because that's the kind of father I have.

The kind of father who dropped drinking so he could tell his kids how bad it is to drink.

The kind of father who started going to church so he could teach his kids about god.

The kind of father who after being laid off of work went to college and stuck it out to teach his kids about the importance of an education.

The kind of father who never gave up, no matter how bad it seemed, to teach his kids about perserverance.

Because that was my dad, and my experience alone can speak volumes about the impressions he left on me.

If you're reading this dad. be it known that I mean every word I say. Thank the lord he put me here with a wonderful family, and thank the lord he put me with a dad like mine.

Granted. This is probably the last post of the night, but I was thinking.

I named the blog in commemoration of Reagan. I like Reagan so much because he had a vision, and a big one. He had a vision that many people thought was never possible. Well, let's see at some other big visions:

Dell Computers: The guy started putting computers together in his garage! Boy what an upgrade!

Yahoo: a Bunch of Hispanic people having a grand idea. Now it's a household term!

The Xbox: No one said it would work in the beginning, and Halo was joked as the only good game on the Xbox. Granted, it's a very good game, but times have changed, and the Xbox is a contender.

Reagan's vision: World Peace through superior strength. Or as the Soviets would say: "Dude, where's my country?!"

And of course, the visions yet to be proven true.

The Global War On Terror: Can we bring down those who spread reckless hate and Virulent Terrorism? We have to try, for the sake of the world and the country.
You don't defeat reckless hate by hiding in your ostrich hole. You right out to meet it, and Bush is doing just that.

My own vision: I'd tell you, but I'm not sure what it is yet.

I don't care much, so long as I put my thoughts down somewhere. Though I love doing my own blog, It would be nice if I had comments.

I had to postpone my college education because of a freak illness and now I'm stuck here before I go on my mission. Oh well. I can wait.

but one can emulate greater blogs without too much trouble. But becoming great is another matter entirely.

I just won a copy of Halo 2 Limited Edition(to be shipped Nov. 9) for the Xbox. I play Halo, but for the PC. I am bereft of an Xbox.

I'd be willing to get it used, but on the following conditions:
-->It has to be a good Xbox. Nothing buggy or bad or out of the ordinary.
-->It has to have at least 1 controller. 2 preferably. I can buy the controllers myself though.
-->It had to have played Halo at least once.

Anyone? I'd be willing to pay more than what you would get reselling it at other stores.

Second day and I'm on the Blogroll for Bush! Good to be doing something.
Anywho. I only have a few things to say before I leave.

Why the tests?

Well, it's one thing to lose hair.

It's another thing to lose hair at the ripe old age of nineteen while you've just gotten out of high school and attending college.

So they thought it was a thyroid problem. So they had a blood test.

But needles suck.

Then they thought it was a Kidney problem.

And needles suck some more.
That and now I'm partially radioactive.

Now they're definitely sure it's a thyroid problem.

At least I don't have to get stuck with a needle.

But now dad has my Halo PC disk.

What a day.

Needles Suck! Had to do a Renal Scan today (that's Kidneys if you don't know your trivia) and they had to inject me with radioactive goo in order to see the kidneys. They had to stick me twice with an IV needle to find a good vein.

Tomorrow will probably be a bad day. If anyone comes near me with a geiger counter, I'm gonna go nuclear.

Wasn't able to do much today when it comes to productivity today because of all the lab testing. I won't be able to do much tomorrow either because I've got to sign up for college classes for next semester.

Conservatives: A primer.

I'm not going to address everything conservatives are per se, just a review of what kind of people we are.

In Normal Life: We're simply just like everyone else. Some of us go to church on Sunday, some of us are sports fans, some of us like writing, some of us like playing Halo..... All in all, we're just like everyone else in real life.

It's our beliefs in government that usually set us apart with things.

Government itself: Should be small, and limited in powers. It should only have the powers necessary to fulfill it's tasks. We also are (for the most part) strict constructionists, where the powers of government are limited to those in the US Constution.

The Tasks of Government: Outlined in the constitution, but for those of us who don't know, or haven't read it, I reccomend following the link above. For a rough overview, here's a few things:

* Provide for a common defense of the country
* Defend the rights of our citizens
* Maintain law and order to prevent chaos
* This isn't the end all/be all list.

Granted, there may have been projects in the past that might have been questionable. Some of them are conservative (Interstate and highway systems) while some of them aren't (Welfare for the most part). It's not that we don't completely disagree with projects we don't, like welfare for instance, but we just like to see these things limited.

Negative rights versus Positive rights: If you don't know what this is, here's a crash course.

A negative right is a right that prevents others from acting upon you. For example, the right to be left alone. Or the right to free speech without being infringed upon.

A positive right is something you're entitled to. For example, the right to a public education.

There are some things we agree with here. When it comes to negative rights, we agree that as long as it sustains law and order, and doesn't hurt anyone or infringe upon anyone else's rights, that negative rights are entitled to anyone.

We have a different stance on positive rights because sometimes they infringe on the negative rights on others. Some have stated that people are entitled to healthcare, but what about paying for it with taxes. This has a chance to become excessive, and really press on other people's negative rights. There are a few things that many conservatives agree are necessary, like an education among other things. But, we also agree that government is not the best place to get everything, and that the less government there is, the better.

Almost everything else revolves around these concepts, but there are a few things of note to mention.

One is that most of the time, conservatives are coupled with the religious. This is because we have a large religious, mostly christian, following. This isn't to say that everyone who is religious or christian is conservative and vice versa. Religious or Christian conservatives have a lot of clout in the conservative movement and it shows.

Second is that we're for the most part what's called strict constructionists. This means that if it isn't in the original constitution or bill of rights or amendments, it's taken as highly suspect. Most conservatives don't like people just adding stuff or changing the meaning of the constitution on whim. This is why most conservatives are very very wary of 'activist judges.' This also means that if it's in the constitution, it is also held in very high regard, and should be protected from meddling (again, going back to those judges).
We also take this in context with the desires and intentions of the founding fathers, the authors of the constitution. Jefferson's letters to the federalist papers are also of high importance, and I would highly suggest reading them.

Third are some stances on individual stances. On guns and gun control, we're pro-gun/anti-gun control. On Abortion, we're pro- life. On gay marriage, we're mostly anti gay marriage (strict constructionism!). If you need stances on other positions, feel free to ask.

This isn't the be-all or end-all but this is most of it.

Ok, I admit! I'm not familiar with linking. Granted, I know HTML, but publishing's another thing. I know a lot about blogs... but Blogging itself is another thing.

Speaking of Linking, I've joined a cause to be reckoned with: Blogs for Bush! Granted, I've not to anyone out there about my political stance yet. Be warned, I am highly conservative.

If you're a curious person wanting to know more about conservatives, this is the place. I'll have a primer on that in a moment.

If you're a liberal.... well... I don't mind if you stay, just don't try to trash the place.

And if you don't care, well.... there's plenty of stuff for you too. I'll probably throw in politics as only one piece of a whole slew of things.

The Start of something New

The first of many daily posts. I always wanted to start a blog. Now I'm no longer a blurker, I'm a blogger, to which people can talk to now. Still, I'm a little nervous... like a kid who's never been to the pool about to jump into the diving pool off the high dive board.

I bet we've all had those days... at least once right?

Not that I'm limiting to one post a day right? Of course not.
